Battlefields of KwaZulu Natal Adventure Tour
This Big Dog’s Battlefields Tour is a must, “bucket” list trip of a lifetime!
Where will you get an opportunity to combine your love of Adventure Riding and your curiosity about the Battlefields of KwaZulu Natal?
Would you like to see the home of the Scottish Rifles, the famed Whiskey train incident, 8 battlefields where Matabele/Boer, Zulu/Boer and British/Boer fought, where heroes won bravery medals, battlefields where the odds were bizarre, a blockhouse, interesting anecdotal places of interest related to the war and even the place where Sir Winston Churchill was captured?
Wait no more, then travel with me, the “Big Dog”, himself a decorated South African, airborne soldier, on an adventure ride with a difference - ride the “behind the scenes” roads and tracks following the course of the Anglo Boer War some 120 years ago, as we venture across Mpumalanga, Free State and KZN on our dual-purpose motorcycles experiencing the journey of the Boer Hero’s - who won and lost countless battles on SA soil, against the Zulu’s and mighty British. Fully historic in its approach, we endeavour to bring a large chunk of South African history to you covering a multitude of anecdotal information as well as seeing the major battlefields of the period!
Immerse yourself in the Zulu War and Anglo Boer War, visiting where British Hero’s earned their Victoria Crosses. Experience the emotions of the British's tragic loss at Isandlwana and their magnificent victory at Rorke’s Drift. View where the “Long Toms” defended so valiantly before being silenced forever!
With a combination of good tar and good gravel, look no further as we experience some of the most riveting changes that altered the course of our history whilst experiencing some of the best adventure riding South Africa has to offer.
