Once again, Big Dog’s Adventure Tours has put together a magnificent tour where you will cross South Africa on a dual-purpose motorcycle and experience the campaign travels of the mighty British Forces -  who won and lost countless battles on SA soil, against the mighty Boer’s and mighty Zulu’s.

Visit battlefields, blockhouses, tunnels and bridges, concentration camps, war memorials and many other war artefacts, whilst venturing across South Africa on your adventure riding steed.

Join the “Big Dog” who as your personal guide, as well as being a decorated airborne officer himself, guides you across South Africa, covering the Cape Colony and Natal battlefields as they were known then. You will follow the course of the Long Tom canons until their final demise at the hands of the British and join us for a historic adventure through history to a time of war 121 years ago. See the many battlefields, blockhouses, uniforms, heroes and guns whilst experiencing a modern-day journey on your trusted steed!!

We will travel across South Africa on dual-purpose motorcycles and experience the campaign travels of the British Forces -  who won and lost countless battles on SA soil, against the mighty Zulu’s and mighty Boers. Visit battlefields, blockhouses, tunnels and bridges, concentration camps, war memorials and many other war artefacts, whilst travelling countless mountain passes en route, with a combination of paved and good gravel roads. Come and experience 6 of the biomes of Southern Africa, whilst enjoying the most exciting adventure riding South Africa has to offer and digest the military history of your forefathers.

Immerse yourself in the Anglo Boer War, the Zulu War and visit where British Hero’s earned their Victoria Crosses. Experience the emotions of the British's tragic loss at Isandlwana and their magnificent victory at Rorke’s Drift. View the vast South African landscape where the Boer Long Tom cannons defended so valiantly, before being silenced forever.

Also included in the tour, will be some time spent in Cape Town seeing the Peninsula whilst orientating yourself on your new steed, preparing for the adventure to come!!  Also included, a day visit to the famous Kruger National Park to see the Big Five, as well as a night under the Southern skies!!
